James Orsher presents Notecard Event, a spontaneous, on the
spot composition and performance extravaganza.
Attendees will be invited to
compose performance scores on notecards (provided). Everyone present
will then be invited to perform the scores. Please bring objects
(musical or otherwise) that you feel may be helpful in performing your
or other's new creations.

James Orsher is a Los Angeles-based composer, performer and curator. He works mostly in an experimental vein creating music from socially contingent situations, listening perception, semi-stasis and the recontextualization of silence. He received his B.A. from Amherst College, studying with Lewis Spratlan, and will be finishing his M.F.A. at CalArts (Composition and Integrated Media) in May, studying primarily with Michael Pisaro and Stephen "Lucky" Mosko. James is the co-curator of the Difficult Music Series.
